The About the Social Equity Program:
Junior Achievement, in partnership with the Z Zurich Foundation, calls on young people across the country, ages 16–25, to take part in a game-changing social-equity experience. This partnership aims to empower youth to succeed as both job creators and well-qualified job seekers.
Implemented as four-day boot camps, culminating in three months of mentorship and coaching by industry leaders for the winning teams, this social-equity project will reach youth across the country, in partnership with higher learning institutions. All participants will have access to JA’s learning experience that will set them on the path to success, not just as individuals but as leaders who influence positive change within their communities.
Specifically, the program will include:
A 4-day workshop on entrepreneurship, leadership and mental wellbeing skills. Learn the basics of starting and running a business.
Online entrepreneurship program. Discover the entrepreneurial spirit by following the 8 modules of the JA Digital Entrepreneurship Education Program.
Undertake a social project of choice, using acquired skills to solve a problem or meet a need identified in your community.
